Meet our Central KY East FCA Staff Team

Andy Owens

Central KY East Area Director / EKU Campus Director

Originally from Beattyville, KY, Andy has been on staff with FCA since 2016 and served as Central KY East Area Director since 2019 and EKU Campus Director since 2018. Andy majored in Sports Ministry at Moody Bible Institute and has over 20 years experience serving in Sports Ministry. His passion is using sports and athletics to share the love of Christ with others. Andy and his wife Erin live in Richmond, KY with their daughter Maeven and son Judah.

Brandon Adams

EKU Campus Representative

Originally from Richmond, KY, Brandon Graduated form Madison Central High School in 2019. He then spent his first two years playing baseball at Lindsey Wilson College before transferring to EKU where he was apart of the Baseball team his last two years. At EKU Brandon got involved in FCA more and more by becoming a leader and even did an FCA Baseball Internship with the SoCal Shepherds in Orange County, California. This inspired and equipped Brandon to make more of an impact at EKU where he has been on staff as of May 1, 2024.

Brandon loves to combine his passion for EKU and Jesus Christ to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the importance of a relationship with him. Son of Brian and Shelia Adams, has on sister Mary Carol.

Chase Burdette

Area Representative

Chase Burdette has 6 years of youth ministry experience and is devoted to seeing people find purpose and identity in Christ. Originally from Mount Vernon, KY, Chase lived in multiple states throughout his teen years before attending Samford University’s Ministry Training Institute in Alabama and later moving back to Kentucky in 2018. He has a history of involvement with FCA as both a student and volunteer and is now excited to step into a staff role serving middle and high schools.

Chase and his wife Kirsten have lived in Richmond, KY since they were married on June 5, 2021, and they enjoy going to games, concerts, and adventuring outdoors. He has a passion for students, the state of Kentucky, and advancing the GOSPEL, and he’s eager to pursue FCA's vision of seeing the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

Margaux Combs

EKU Campus Representative

Originally from Belgium, Margaux, came to EKU to play college tennis in 2015. She graduated from EKU with a major in Mathematics and Statistics. Her Sophomore year, she met her husband, Noah, who led her to Christ and changed her life completely.

Margaux recently started serving as an Campus Representative at EKU. She is passionate about sharing the freedom she has found in Christ with athletes and coaches whose worth is often found in their athleticism, performance, and achievements. Margaux and her husband live in Richmond, KY with their son Elijah.

Sarah McWhorter

EKU Campus Representative

Originally from Ashland KY, she graduated from Rose Hill Christian HS where she played basketball, soccer, softball, and tennis. She went on to graduate from Asbury University where she played basketball all four years. Her love for the Lord and her passion for sports helped shape the way she wanted to do ministry and the Lord has graciously opened the door for her to come serve with Central KY East FCA. She has been on staff with FCA since July 2019; while she transitions from serving in the admin role to an area representative, she is most excited to be the hands and feet of Jesus forming relationships to help make disciples for Christ. Sarah, her husband Bryan and son Samuel live on a farm in Richmond, KY with their dog, Bear.

Michelle Toole

Area Representative

Originally from Lexington, KY, she graduated from Henry Clay HS where she played volleyball and was a swimmer and diver. Michelle went on to graduate from EKU with a Criminal Justice degree. Though she did not play volleyball for EKU, she did play at Tusculum College and Coastal Carolina University. Michelle has recently begun her ministry with FCA and is serving as an Area Representative for the elementary, middle and high schools in Central Kentucky East Region. She has a passion for sports and and for leading the next generation to Christ. In her first year of coaching volleyball she is most excited about the impact she will have on Madison Central’s JV team.  Michelle and her husband Paul have been married since 2011 and live in Richmond, KY. They have 6 dogs (Gus, Jena, Peter, Opal, Finley, and Sweet Potato) and 3 cats (Sherman, Kevin, and Jinx).

Jeremy Wasch

Area Representative

Originally from Gallipolis, Ohio, Jeremy has recently begun his ministry with FCA and is serving as Central KY East Area Representative. Jeremy majored in Youth/Family Ministry at Kentucky Christian University and has over twenty four years of experience serving in the church with students/families. He has a huge passion for sports and is very excited to combine his passion for leading students to Christ and cheering on athletes. Jeremy and his wife Kendra have been married since 2001 and live in Richmond, KY, with their 3 children; Hayden , Pyper and Peyton.
